A 178-meter, 32000 DWT handy-size bulk carrier designed to meet the International
Maritime Organization’s 2050 targets, adhering to green ship criteria and new generation
systems.
• The design incorporates features such as optimized hull form, high-performance main
and auxiliary machines, renewable energy use, low emissions, waste heat recovery,
holistic energy management, improved waste management, cyber security, and
recyclable, lightweight, durable materials.
• The ship is aimed to be equipped with dual-fuel main and auxiliary engines capable of
running on LNG, a high-performance propeller-rudder system, and flow regulators for
enhanced propulsion efficiency.
• Design improvements and operational strategies aim to achieve low fuel consumption,
with environmental considerations including selective catalytic reduction (SCR),
electricity generation from waste heat (ORC), shaft generator, and ballast water treatment
systems.
• Under MARPOL Annex VI regulations and the latest expanded Energy Efficiency
Management Plan, “The Ship” aims to reduce carbon dioxide emissions per reference
transportation job by at least 50%.
